Assabil journal

Assabil is a Moroccan journal created in 2004 that came to take its place in the ranks of media platforms that defend authenticity, heritage and identity and to enrich the intellectual field that was dominated by various materialistic doctrines

My role was to promote the internet presence of the journal by building their official website

My approach included the following steps:

• Choosing Wordpress as a CMS (Content Management System)

• Choosing a black & white theme as close as possible to a paper journal design

• Converting thousands of archive articles from Microsoft Word format to Html markup

• Saving converted articles as Wordpress posts with corresponding dates and categories matching the original paper articles

• Creating a homepage listing the most read and the latest articles

• Using Litespeed features for page cashing
