Ihyae Foundation: a first official website

Ihyae is an independent scientific, educational and cultural institution founded in 2019, working on moral development, the educational process, and the civilisational history of Morocco and the Islamic world.

Several projects, and nowhere that explained them

The foundation was already running things online. What it did not have was itself: no single address saying what Ihyae is, what it works on, which projects belong to it, or how to reach the people behind it.

That is a particular kind of invisibility. Each project could be found on its own, and none of them answered the question a funder, a partner or a journalist asks first — who is behind this, and what else do they do?

What I built

  • A child theme derived from the foundation's existing graphic identity, so the site matched what they already used rather than introducing a second look.

  • Arabic throughout, right-to-left — the layout, the type and the navigation, not a translated afterthought.

  • The foundation defined: what it is, what it works on, and the figures behind it.

  • Its projects, presented as one body of work rather than a list of links.

  • A timeline presenting the foundation's activities by date.

  • A contact form, which was the entire point of the second half of the brief.

  • WordPress as the CMS with Divi as the theme builder, and one plugin for the timeline.

  • Responsive across phone, tablet and desktop, with LiteSpeed page caching.

It is one of several projects I have delivered for the foundation, alongside Mayastoron and Majalisnoor.

Tell me what you are building

A short description of the problem is enough to start. You will get a straight answer on whether I am the right person for it.
