Me

Custom web platforms, built when off-the-shelf will not do

Most organisations should not commission software. A shop, a blog, a booking form — these are solved problems, and buying the solved version is almost always the right answer. Saying so has cost me work and has never once cost me a client.

What is here is the other case: where the thing an organisation actually does has no product behind it. A solar installer whose customers cannot know what to buy until somebody sizes a roof. A care platform where a patient, the family member holding it together and the treating clinician all need one record and none of them may see all of it. An HR system whose competency model is the entire product and every screen reads from it.

The tell is usually the same. Somebody is doing a job by hand, over and over, and describing it as just how things work here — and when you write that job down it turns out to have rules, and the rules are the application.

These are Laravel, each with an admin panel the client runs themselves. The alternative is a system that needs its developer forever, which is a worse outcome for them and a worse business for me.

A short description of the problem is enough to start. You will get a straight answer on whether I am the right person for it.
